Hope you’re all feeling suitably patriotic and well rested after the Jubilee celebrations.  For those of you who haven’t already read it, check out Theos’ article about the ‘other’ jubilee

One to one catch-ups on Monday

For those of you that are London based, I will be coffee shop hopping around the Soho area next Monday (11th June) so if you’re in the area and want to come join me or would like me to come visit you at work, give me a shout on 07896012296

Working away from home?

Working in the media can be a lonely business, particularly when we find ourselves away from home for prolonged periods of time. Read this honest and helpful guide about how to keep your faith strong while on the road.

Competition winners

About a month ago, I alerted you to MediaNet member Francis Annan’s short film which had been shortlisted for Reed’s film competition.  Thank you to those of you that voted for him – he won the People’s Choice Award so big congratulations to him.  If you haven’t already watched it, you can do so here

Congratulations also to all the runners up and winners from the Sanford St Martin Awards 2012. A full list of these can be found here

MediaNet Academy

A quick reminder - if you know of any young Christians who are just starting out in the industry or are hoping to break into it, do let them know about the MediaNet Academy strand which is offering FREE places to the Church and Media Conference in September.  More details here

Damaris internships

If you are (or know of any) a Christian undergraduate or graduate with a passion for writing and for culture, and you are looking to spend a year – or part of a year – doing something different, you might consider doing a Damaris internship. We're currently looking for one or two research interns for the forthcoming (2012/13) academic year.

Research interns study the relationship between Christian faith and contemporary culture.  For more information or to download an application form, visit www.damaris.org/interns.

-As always there’s lots of new radio, TV and print jobs at Media UK and lots of BBC, Channel 4 and ITV jobs to apply for

Please let me know what you’re up to, if there’s anything you’d like to share with theMediaNet and most importantly how we can be supporting and praying for you.  Don’t forget, if you want a retweet, just mention @themedianet and we’ll let the rest of theMediaNet know what you’re up to.

Hope you have an amazing week

Ruth
