How did you end up where you are now?
I have always wanted to be an animator and have my own production company. I can remember drawing Disney characters as a toddler and knowing that animation is what I wanted to do. After getting a degree in animation in 2003 it was only a matter of time until I went for my dream and after lots of planning set up Taylormation in 2008.
What's your favourite children's story?
That's a hard question. When I was young I hardly ever read. I played a lot with toys like Lego and made up my own stories. Biblically, Noah has always fascinated me. Other stories I loved over the years, Treasure Island, Narnia and even modern books like The Gruffalo.
How does your faith affect your work?
It's because of my faith that I do this. All my productions are based on Bible stories or morals and its my passion to see children watching and interacting with edifying media. Financially it has been a very difficult road but I know that God is keeping this dream alive. If it wasn't for His continual support and encouragement Taylormation would have stopped a long time ago.
When you're not working, what do you enjoy doing?
I have a beautiful wife and two wonderful children and I love spending time with them as much as I can when not working. I also love Football, computer games, films and trying my hand at gardening.
What can we at theMediaNet be doing to help support you better?
Spreading the word is one of the most helpful things. Just being willing to listen and pass information on is a real encouragement.
