I am working for a production company called Waddell Media in Northern Ireland who have been producing television programmes for a range of broadcasters all over the world including the BBC, RTE, TG4, the Discovery Channel and ITV. Currently we are producing an exciting new series of short documentaries for Channel 4, featuring diverse views on issues of religion and ethics, called 4thought.tv.

The short programmes will transmit 365 days a year, straight after the Channel 4 News every evening. Each programme is approximately ninety seconds long, and features a single person speaking to camera. Each week, the programmes are linked by an underlying theme, related to news events, important anniversaries or religious ideas.

We are looking for passionate people with strong opinions and personal perspectives on important religious issues and major news stories. This is an opportunity to share views on faith and its place in contemporary Britain. We are using this as a platform for political figures, celebrities and members of the public to share their thoughts and views, and we expect the outcome to be very powerful.

It would be great to hear from you if this is something that you personally feel you could contribute to or if you know of anyone who might be interested. We have started the series with the anniversary of the 7/7 bombings where people from different faith backgrounds who were directly affected share their thoughts. If you have any ideas for themed weeks and people who could take part in these weeks it would be great to hear them too. This series is about giving people with different stories the opportunity to share their stories and opinions.
