Hi Everyone!
I'm Jennie, I'm a student at De Montfort University studying journalism. I've just finished my second year and I'm working on my dissertation...
I'll give you a bit of history behind me, journalism and Christianity, I decided to study journalism about five years ago and I became a Christian about two and a half years ago (a very short history there for you!).
Since becomming a Christian I've found it increasingly hard to understand how you can reflect Christ in a professional which is notoriously assumed to be... well not very nice.
My dissertation therefore is largely about how Christian journalists themselves feel able to be a successful journalist while still having their lives completely dedicated to Christ. But more specifically it's about how you feel able to be objective in the way you report.
If anyone could help me out it would be really really appreciated, I know this is more of a call for help than a blog but I'm trying to get my request out there in as many ways possible.
People who help me would remain anonymous in the report, all it would mean is having an hour-ish long interview with me (more like a casual conversation) either face to face, over the phone or via email- depending on where you live and what you feel comfortable with.
If anyone is interested in helping me or would like to find out more, please email me at P09275170@myemail.dmu.ac.uk stating the subject as 'Christians in Journalism Research'
Thanks for reading this,
God bless,
Jennie.
